What is Humanity's Team?

Humanity’s Team is a member-based organization of worldwide proportions that is growing every day and gathering the strength and force that only large numbers and massive energy can produce. We seek to change the world by creating the space of possibility for a New Spirituality to emerge upon the earth. We propose a spirituality that enlarges and enhances humanity’s current beliefs about God and about Life in a way that could change forever how we live with each other, bringing peace and harmony to our planet at last.

What does Humanity’s Team do?

Humanity’s Team is a way for each of us to affect the world by creating the space of possibility for a New Spirituality to emerge on the earth. Members do this by acting as spiritual activists—first in their homes, then in their neighborhoods, places of work, churches, temples, mosques and houses of worship, then in their communities, then in their states or nations, and, ultimately, in all the world.

There are many ways in which all of us may now continue—as a huge group at last—the collective work of inner and outer change. Among them is self-education. This may not, at first, seem like the most exciting idea. After all, your whole life has been an education. Now you’re ready to do something with what you have learned. Yet we cannot create the space for a New Spirituality to emerge on the planet until we are able to fully explain what the New Spirituality is all about.

LEVEL 1. The first step in this process could be to systematically educate oneself individually. Commit to exploring some of the basic literature that speaks of alternative ways of perceiving God and Life.
LEVEL 2. A next, or parallel, step might be taking online courses created specifically for Humanity’s Team outreach. These courses allow for serious, in-depth exploration of the concepts of the New Spirituality. An example of such offerings can be found at teh Re-Creation Foundation's education page.
LEVEL 3. You may wish to become a leader in the effort to provide educational opportunities for others. See the leadership section at the International Humanity's Team site.
LEVEL 4. It is the hope of Humanity’s Team that New Spirituality study groups and New Spirituality emotional support groups will spring up in cities, towns, and villages across the globe. We are very clear that spiritual education and spiritual community will form the basis of worldwide revitalization of our religious, political, economic, and social systems.

What is the New Spirituality?

The idea behind this New Spirituality is to bring God back to life. Right now it feels as if God is far away from life, as if God has nothing to do with it.

The New Spirituality says that God is not separate from anything—and neither are we. And so the New Spirituality brings God back to life, and Humanity’s Team will do so by placing spiritual activists on the ground around the globe, working in the political, economic, religious, educational and social arenas to produce here-and-now experiences and real-world outcomes that reflect its simple message: “There is another way.”

There is another way to do politics, another way to do economics, another way to do religion and education and social interactions of all kinds—a way that eliminates ruthless competition as a means of surviving, violence as a means of control, killing as a means of conflict resolution, and the empowerment of some through the disempowerment and oppression of others.

Life does not have to be this way. There is another way. Yet changing the way we experience ourselves and Life will take an enormous act of collective will.

It is the intention of Humanity’s Team to create that.
